Kilimanjaro House stands different from the rest. Its design and decor reflects the ancient Swahili civilization which is still intact in Lamu.

Kilimanjaro House is a totally charming villa in the heart of old Lamu town. The house is 3 storey's high with magnificent views of Lamu town. Our Simba lounge on the 2nd floor is ideal meeting place to play games or just chill or read a book as you enjoy the cool sea breeze.

Entering into the house with its winding stairways and large archways is like coming into a little oasis of calm. The interior walls of the house are built of coral stones and limestone the traditional way which cools the house even in the hot summer days.

All the rooms have private showers and WC. At Kilimanjaro House you can relax at the roof top lounge and enjoy the cool sea breeze and sights of Lamu.

Lamu town is a world heritage site and our central location in the heart of the city means we are close to shopping areas, restaurants and other points of interest.

Our check in time is 1pm and check out is 11am.

Directions

Arrival in Lamu is only by boat. On arrival at the Lamu Jetty walk straight on and pass the Lamu Museum. Walk upto the Donkey Sanctuary and turn left. Walk for 200m and turn left and you are at Kilimanjaro House. Guests who have booked with us are met by the hotel staff either at the airport or lamu jetty and brought over to the hotel. Please inform us of your arrival time and means of travel so that we make arrangements to pick you.
