Inn Old Amsterdam is located in an historical monument full of character (1645) on the Nieuwmarkt, a vibrant residential quarter with bars, restaurants and outdoor cafes. Our house looks out onto the most important gate of the city of Amsterdam (1488), the Sint Anthonispoort, now known as De Waag.
For our guests we have fitted up a comfortable room with a kitchenette on the first floor, and a large studio with private bathroom, toilet and kitchen on the second floor.
We are Daan, Cok and Inigo, and we are looking forward to your visit.

A recently renovated and elegantly furnished B&B room on the 1st floor with a fantastic view of the Waag and the Nieuwmarkt.

STUDIO WAAGZICHT
Recently renovated studio for two persons on the 2nd floor under the original beams taken from old ships. Living room with fantastic view of the Waag and the lively Nieuwmarkt.

THE BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served in a buffet on the corridor of the second floor. Here are the ingredients to make yourself a nice breakfast. We strive to maximize the biological and environmental friendly products.
DE WAAG
In 1601 the old city walls were razed to the ground in connection with the expansion of the city. The Sint Anthonispoort was spared, but lost its function. On either side, part of the canals were filled in, creating a square: the current Nieuwmarkt. In 1617 the former city gate was given the function of a weighing place. (or toll bridge). The building is popularly known as De Waag. Nowadays it accommodates a large cafe-restaurant as well as a centre for new media.
The best way to get to the B&B from the airport is by train.
You can take the train directly to Central Station Amsterdam, this will take you 15 min.
-From central station you could walk (5 min). Take the street called the 'Zeedijk' and walk it all the way down and you will hit a square called the Nieuwmarkt. Here is where the B&B is located. The door is next to a bar called the Cotton Club.
-or you can take the Metro (subway) one stop to the Nieuwmarkt, this will costs you E 2,60 pp.
