We will take pride in showing you the best of Britain's heritage and wonderful countryside: From the rugged natural beauty of Wordsworth's Lake District, over the Pennine Hills and down through James Herriot's glorious Yorkshire Dales, through the Vale of York to the historic Roman city of York and the magnificent York Minster. There are numerous castles, ruined abbeys, museums, waterfall's, limestone pavements and picturesque villages on the way for us to stop off and enjoy.

Most of the Yorkshire Dales are part of the National Park which preserves the landscape, wildlife and culture.

There isn't a typical day on a Herriot Country Tour! Your itinerary is set by you based on the attractions you want to see the most within your time frame.

Age range, type of group


Our tours are best suited to couples and groups of friends (max 4) of any age range.

Sleeping and meals


Sleeping accommodation is always provided by a quality B&B, public house or hotel. Your accommodation depends on where you choose at the time of booking your tour. Breakfast will be provided at your accommodation. Lunch arrangements are changeable depending on your day plan; it could be a picnic on the moors or tea at Betty's! B&B's don't usually provide evening meals so you are free to sample the delights of the local pubs and restaurants.

Policies & Restrictions


We have a no smoking policy at Westfields Farm and within the tour vehicle. Most pubs and restaurants require smokers to smoke outside the premises. We do not allow pets.

Rates


Rates start from £1500 per person for a 7 day tour. We are flexible if you wish to have a shorter tour.
