Green River, Utah Rafting

Active Adventure
These trips in Dinosaur National Monument and Canyonlands National Park is an opportunity to join Holiday guides in an exploration of natural history. Whether young or old, if your excited by discovery, this trip will be at the top of your “best vacations list”!
Typical Day
Lodore Canyon thrust Major Powell into his first real whitewater on his 1869 expedition. This 44-mile stretch of the Green River, called the “Queen of Rivers,” cuts through the High Uinta Range traversing lands of alpine forests and desert slickrock. These are Utah’s highest mountains (King’s Peak: 13,400′) and the only range of the Rockies to run east/west.

Cataract Canyon
rafting is an anomaly. Yet Cataract Canyon contains mile after mile of rafting through canyons where you are awe struck, not at whitewater, but the deep multicolored canyons of this section of Canyonlands National Park. Side canyon hikes to ruins and petroglyphs delight you as you head toward the Confluence of the Colorado and Green rivers.
