Flightless is an offshore capable, 26.82 metre charter vessel (ex NZ Navy Inshore Patrol Craft Moa). She has a cruising range of 4,000 miles, a 3 tonne deck crane and 4.8 m Niaid tender with 90 hp outboard. Cruise speed is 9 kts. She has large out door areas including sheltered lower deck area and the upper sun deck.

Destinations

Cruise the Marlborough Sounds, D'Urville Is, and Fiordland areas or visit the sub antarctic islands south of NZ or the sub tropical Kermadec Island group . Walk the Queen Charlotte Track or dive Cook Strait with us on board M. V. Flightless. Enjoy the romantic, peaceful, serenity of the Marlborough Sounds surrounded by native bush and marine and bird life from the upper sun deck. See bottlenose dolphins, seals and sometimes even orca whales.

Typical Day

Can involve swimming, diving (compressor and cylinders on board), kayaking, most water sports, exploring, fishing, nature walks including historic sites and scenic cruising, bird and mammal watching

Families, kids 8 and over if supervised, couples, singles and seniors with reasonable health and fitness level.

Sleeping and meals

She sleeps 19 passengers and 4 crew in 6 cabins with 4 bathrooms. Cruises can be catered or Bring Your Own food and beverages.

Rates & Availability

Available on our web site. Marlborough $2300 per night (minimum 2 nights) Bring Your Own food and Beverage. Catered $30 per person per day.
Fiordland March - May. $3200 per night (minimum 2 nights) Bring Your Own food and Beverage. Catered $30 per person per day.
