Listing Details
Our clean and fresh rooms have a funky modern twist, with beds made prior to your arrival. We offer a range of accommodation to suit your needs, including twin, double, triple and four-person rooms, plus a four-bed dorm; they can also be used as family rooms.
Stay with us and relax in our fully-restored federation-style house with large sweeping private veranda out the front, accessible directly from your bedroom. It's perfect for that morning cup of tea or afternoon beer to relax with.
Our bathrooms are clean and newly-renovated, while the original wooden floors of our house have been restored and are teamed with the original high ceilings. Our rates include linen and towel, tea and coffee and free pick-up for stays of seven nights or more.
We are family-run so you can be sure to feel safe and receive friendly and helpful service. We're your home away from home!
Please note that guests must be 18+ unless accompanied by their guardians and staying in a family room.
Directions
From Perth International Airport
By car:
Exit the Airport and drive 4.1km down Horrie Miller Dr, you will approach traffic lights; go straight through, this road is called Kewdale Rd. Continue for 3km and then turn right onto Orrong Rd. Drive for 8.3km and take the East Parade exit. Turn Left onto East Parade and take first exit off roundabout called Plain St. Go straight through the lights and take the third exit on your right - Wickham St. Drive 180m and we're on your left, on the corner of Wickham St and Wickham Place.
By bus:
Simply hop on board the Connect shuttle bus and tell them you're going to Wickham Retreat Backpackers. They'll drop you straight on our door! Departing hourly; the cost is: one way - $18 pp / return $30 pp.
By taxi:
Taxi stand is out the front of the airport, cost in a taxi is approx $25-$30.
From Perth Domestic Airport:
Exit the Domestic Airport, drive 1.4km down Brearley Ave, then turn left onto Great Eastern Highway, drive 4.8km then exit onto Graham Farmer Freeway. Drive 3.2km then take East Parade exit, turn left onto East Parade, then take the first exit off roundabout, called Plain St. Go straight through the lights and take the third exit on your right - Wickham St. Drive 180m and we're on your left, on the corner of Wickham St and Wickham Place.
By bus:

Taxi stand is out the front of the airport; cost in a taxi is approx $20-$25.
We are also within the free bus route 'Yellow Cat' along Wellington St. Hop off at the corner of Bennet st. Walk up Bennet st and take your 2nd right, which is Wickham St. Walk up the street and we're on your right on the corner of Wicham Place.
Alternatively, take the Midland line train and get off at Claisebrook station (2 stops away from Perth Train Station) and take theRed Cat to Royal St on the corner of Bennet St. Walk up Bennet st and take your 2nd right, which is Wickham St. Walk up the street and we're on your right on the corner of Wicham Place.
***Remember: for all stays of 7 nights or more we're happy to pick you up for free from Perth International Airport, Perth Domestic Airport, Perth Train Station or East Perth Train Station.
