Come and stay with us in our clean, comfortable, and cheery hostel where there are only 12 beds in all.
Each deluxe private room or shared room has extra-long twin-sized beds, a dresser, closet and service-sized refrigerator. The shared kitchen has a microwave, toaster and coffee-maker along with dishes & cutlery. There are two clean shared bathrooms and coin-operated laundry machines.
You can sit outside in the front garden or watch cable TV in our cosy living room. Free wireless internet is available during evening hours.
We're a Native Hawaiian family who takes great pride in the operation and ownership of this well-kept hostel.
We know that our 'no party' atmosphere is not for everyone - and we like a good party. But Happy Valley Hale Hostel is for those guests looking for a cosier place to return to at the end of a busy day of touring Maui.
We look forward to welcoming you to our home!
Please note that we don't facilitate check-ins after 8pm. If you will be arriving after 8pm do not make a reservation. No refunds in these cases, sorry.
Check-in is from 2pm - 6pm.
Late check-in is from 6pm to 8pm and has an additional fee of $20. If you'll be checking in late, you must email or call us at least 24 hours ahead of time to arrange it.
We do not facilitate check-ins after 8pm. If you will be arriving after 8pm do not make a reservation. No refunds in these cases, sorry.
We do not accept credit card. Payment is by cash only, upon arrival.
Local taxes of 13.4% are not included in booking rates and will be added upon arrival.
Guests must have a foreign passport or off-island ticket to check in.
We have a daily lock-out time of 11am to 1.30pm, to facilitate the cleaners.
We have a 48hr cancellation policy. We only accept email cancellations received by 5pm HST. Please - no texts or phone calls. Sorry, there's no exceptions.
We are a non-smoking property.
Free parking is for the private rooms only.
Directions
From Kahului airport, exit taking Route 36, then Route 32 (Ka'ahumanu Avenue) up to Wailuku Town.
Turn right on Market Street (Route 330).
Continue over the bridge, and about the fourth property on the right side of the road, you will see our sign: Happy Valley Hale Hostel.
