Situated in the heart of the bourgeoisie 8th district, our guesthouse is surrounded by mansions, embassies, parks and greenery.
Villa Monticelli offers 5 stylish and luxurious bedrooms, furnished with either queen size or twin beds. All have en-suite bathrooms, are air-conditioned and soundproofed and come equipped with hairdryers and a private WC.
Your stay at Villa Monticelli will be relaxing and pleasant. You will be welcomed as one of our guests rather than someone who is just passing through.
You can count on your hosts to be there to help make your stay as nice as possible.
The Sitting Room at Villa Monticelli is a large, comfortable room that is warmly decorated and is at your disposal. There are various publications dedicated to Marseilles and the region, as well as numerous guides to help you organise your days out.
At Villa Monticelli, breakfast is a very important part of the day: a wide range of home made jams are for the tasting, either on the terrace surrounded by flowers and birds, or, in the dining room when the weather isn't so good.
Discover Marseilles: Buses, taxis and the Metro can all be found in close proximity to the guesthouse, all connecting you within minutes to the city centre (Vieux-Port), the Calanques and the city's beaches.
We can advise you on the best places to go and where to eat and are here to help you make the most of your stay in Marseille.

Directions
FROM SAINT CHARLES train station :
There is a taxi rank outside the station. It takes between 15-20 minutes to get to 'Villa Monticelli' from the station via taxi.
You could also use the Metro. Take line number 2 in the direction of Sainte Marguerite/Dromel. Get off at the station ' Rond-Point du Prado', the fifth station from Saint Charles.
From 'rond Point du Prado', you can walk to Villa Monticelli (it takes about 10 minutes) . Walk down 'avenue du Prado' (in the direction 'des Plages'), the path on the rightside. After crossing 'rue Paradis', turn right onto a road with a small incline. Take the third left onto 'rue Dumont Durville' at the end of this road you will cross the 'rue Commandant Rolland'. Turn right. You will find us in the second house on the left, n° 96.
When leaving the Metro at the station ' Rond-Point du Prado' you could avoid some of the walk by using your metro ticket to take the bus. In which case take the number 83 bus from 'avenue du Prado (direction 'les Plages)' and get off at the stop 'Saint Exupéry'.
By foot, you then take 'rue de la Cadenelle' pass the 'Mairie de Bagatelle' on your right, keep to the right side of 'rue du Commandant Rolland' and find us at number 96 .
FROM MARSEILLE PROVENCE AIRPORT:
Taxis are available to hire at the airport at a cost of around 55€.
Otherwise, a shuttle bus service runs every 20 minutes which takes you to the Saint Charles train station for around 6-7 euros per person.
