Residence La Contessina

Located in the old town center of Florence, Residence La Contessina combines studios and full apartments with kitchen with the comfortable services typical of a hotel with a welcoming and charming atmosphere.

All around the small cloistered court full of light and flowers, there are 20 double volume completely furnished mini-apartments (about 45 sq. m. each) fitted with a kitchen with many accessories, large bathroom with shower, double or single beds, large sofa-bed for two, air-conditioning, central heating, two TV-sets, telephone, Wi-fi connection,safe, hairdryer, fridge, freezer and microwave oven. Porter service 24 hours, laundry service.

We pay particular attention to families with babies and provide cribs and high chairs at no charge. You can even reserve a baby sitter. Children up to age two are our favorite guests and stay free!

Directions

BY CAR: Follow directions to Firenze-Centro or Santa Maria Novella Train Station.

From exit Firenze Nord you have to continue until "Centro Storico", Stazione Santa Maria Novella. When you get to Fortezza da Basso, keep your right and take Viale Spartaco Lavagnini; on the first traffic light turn right which is Via Santa Caterina D'Alessandria and keep on going until Largo Alinari. Turn right on Via Valfonda (you should see the train station) , go straight and take a right in Piazza Adua, then left in Via Cennini and at the end turn right in Via Faenza, go straight and you will find the entrance on the right side number 71 black. ( it is the same entrance for the parking).

From exit Firenze Sud follow directons to "centro storico"-Stazione Santa Maria Novella, when you get to plaza Libertà keep your right and take Via Lorenzo il Magnifico at the traffic light take a left and go straight in Via Via Santa Caterina D'Alessandria and keep on going until Largo Alinari. Turn right on Via Valfonda (you should see the train station) , go straight and take a right in Piazza Adua, then left in Via Cennini and at the end turn right in Via Faenza, go straight and you will find the entrance on the right side number 71 black. Take with you a copy of your reservation in case Cops ask for it.

BY TRAIN: The nearest train station is Santa Maria Novella, from there you can get on foot. Take McDonald's exit,and take a right until Largo Alinari (another McDonald's ) keep on walking and the second street on the left is Via Faenza, you will find us on the left, number 71 black.

BY PLANE: the airport is about 7 km from down town (20mins). You can take a taxi or a shuttle which will leave you at Santa Maria Train Station and the follow instructions by train.
