Of all the local accommodations on Caye Caulker only PAUSE provides this unique accommodation opportunity for animal lovers to enjoy authentic Caribbean culture while helping a worthy cause. PAUSE is the only humanitourism accommodation on Caye Caulker and we are located inside the cat sanctuary grounds so you will be coming in contact with cats & dogs while day are out on there daily supervised outings but live in a separate enclosed area on the property. IF YOU DON'T LIKE ANIMALS THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!
PAUSE are affordable Seaside lodging that gives back to the community! Our place is securely fenced all around for privacy & security.
Pause is an authentic Belizean style house with 2 fully furnished suites & dorm style cabana.
We also have camping space to pitch your own tent at $5 US dollars per person per night, we provide shower & bathroom to campers but no towels, sheets, toiletries or kitchen.
The Beach Suite has a full kitchen made from exotic Belizean woods, very spacious, ceiling & floor fans, queen size bed, private bath, futon, large dining room table, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, stove and a large balcony over looking the Caribbean sea with spectacular sunset & wildlife views.
Sheets & towels (Not beach towel) provided but are only changed 1 x per week
The Garden suite has floor & ceiling fans, full size bed, private bath, dining table with chairs, couch, frig, microwave, coffee machine and electric stove. Sheets & towels (Not beach towel) provided but are only changed 1 x per week.
NO ROOM CLEANING SERVICE FOR PRIVATE ROOMS, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO TAKE OUT YOUR OWN GARBAGE AND CLEAN UP!
The Jaguar painted dorm style beach cabana sleeps 3, has dining table with chairs, microwave, coffee machine & a bathroom with shower a few steps away.
No towels or toiletries are provided for the dorm cabana.

It's essential that guests hold a high appreciation of cats & dogs to get the full experience from this truly individual travel opportunity as PAUSE is also home to the P.A.W. Cat Sanctuary.

Directions
If you are coming from Belize City with any of the water taxis or coming from Chetumal with the San Pedro Belize Express, you will make a right at the foot of the dock, walk a couple minutes to the corner of the Bambooze restaurant painted in bright orange & green and make a left , walk straight (NO TURNS) until you reach Sandros Restaurant which is painted in orange with a beige fence. At the corner of their fence you will make a right and look for gray gate with Beware of the dog sign. Our fence is a wire fence lined with palm leaves.
If you are coming from Chetumal on the Water Jets International, we are a few steps away . At the foot of the dock , make a left and walk straight ahead, you will be walking right next to the water. Look ahead & you will see a Yellow with black Jaguar spots painted cabana and a large wooden gate to the right of the cabana. We will be expecting you there.
Pause is located on the West side of the island on Pasero Street across from Sandros Restaurant and on its own secluded little beach away from the bustle of the tourist areas yet only a few minutes to the main street and to supermarkets, bank, bakery and everything else.
