We are waiting for you in the best location of Montevideo! Our classic style house is worth itself, with it's huge and spacious rooms.
We are downtown, a few meters from Barrio Sur, where candombe was born. 300mts from the coast (rambla) and 10 mins walking of Ciudad Vieja!
Ukelele is the perfect place to have a nice time, enjoying a bath in its huge swimming pool (the only hostel that has a swimming pool in town!), having some cold beers at the bar, or just talking with travellers from all over the world. You can join our groupal 'asados' (barbecues) and eat a nice Uruguayan 'Parrilla', or you can go to the first world cup stadium and watch a match of Nacional, or Peaarol, the biggest teams of the country.
We have a full equipped kitchen for travelers, hot water 24hs, breakfast included, laundry service, free WiFi and free computers!
Our staff is 24hs at your disposal, to give you all the information you may need to have the best time in Montevideo!

It's easy to reach Ukelele Hostel.
If you come from the airport, we recommend you to take the Shuttle Bus. Taxis are too expensive, and regular buses are no well equipped to carry your luggage. Shuttle bus will deliver you here without any problem.
If you come from Tres Cruces (bus terminal), we recommend you to take the bus CA1 (it departs from outside the terminal) and you get down in the famous Plaza Cagancha. Once there, you have to walk through the street Gutierrez Ruiz, that starts in the square, in direction to the sea. The fourth street is our street, Maldonado. There you have to turn left, and 50mts from there it is our hostel, Ukelele!
