Mad House (previously The Local) has undergone a full renovation in late 2012. It is situated just two short blocks from the popular and vibrant Russian Market. Mad House is somewhat of a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh Riverside area yet only minutes via tuk tuk to the city centre, and 10 to 15 minutes to attractions such as the National Museum, Royal Palace, Wat Phnom Phnom, Central and Night markets, and to the nightlife around Street 51 and riverside.
Visiting cultural attractions such as Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and The Killing Fields is made easier from the Russian Market area as both are closer, and will cost less to go on a tuk-tuk. Mad House is only a 20-25 minute trip from the airport.
Mad House restaurant offers a high quality Western menu featuring a great range of burgers and snacks as well as breakfast 7 days. The bars offer daily specials and happy hour discounts including the famous $2 Mojito.
