Activity/Tour
Tour Yangon, joining the locals at a tea shop and walk to Shwedagon pagoda: the most revered in all of Myanmar. Take the short hop flight to Bagan and discover its wonderful scenery and architecture. Witness the craftsmanship of the locals with a visit to workshops producing wood carvings and lacquer ware. Cruise the Irrawaddy River, passing riverside villages, fishermen and temples.
Transfer to Heho and take a scenic drive to Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery to see its collection of Buddha Images and beautiful carvings. Board a private motorboat and go out onto Heho Lake. Observe life on the lake as you pass stilt houses, floating gardens and fishermen rowing their boats using their legs. After breakfast, see the lake’s lively morning market where the community of the lake; including local hill tribes, all come to trade with each other. It’s a bustling centre of activity with many interesting sights.
