The Capital city of Kenya is Nairobi with the name derived from the Maasai word with its meaning 'a place of cool waters'. The city is also described as 'the Green City in the Sun'.
Almost 4 million Kenyans inhabit the city and its suburbs hence making it a cosmopolitan city. Moreover, the city is an economical hub for the East and Central Africa region with various diplomatic and missions house in Nairobi.
A visit to the city offers varieties of surprises and option of choices depending on one time, pace or interests.
If you have one or two days within Nairobi before connecting to your safari to wildlife parks or other destinations, it will be good to have a fascinating experience within Nairobi. It has a lot to offer and we will offer a personalized itinerary just for you.
Also for the Business travelers who have limited time at the destination a weekend break to nearest park in the city (Nairobi National park) and other conservation centres will provide a memorable experience.
Nairobi 1Day Excursion
Pick-up from your overnight hotel for a day tour to the Nairobi National park; the only park with the closest proximity to the City of Nairobi followed by visit to the Dalphane sheldrick elephant orphanage, and later the Giraffe centre and Optional City Walking Tour
Nairobi 2Days Excursion
Day1: Pick up from your overnight hotel for a tour of the Nairobi National Park, with later visit to the giraffe centre and Karen Blixen Museum and end with the Bomas of Kenya
Day2: Morning visit to the National Museums of Kenya and the reptile park, followed by an afternoon city tour and shopping at the Masai Market for souvenirs to take Back Home

Typical Day
Maasai Mara (Masai Mara) is known as Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserve, situated in southwest Kenya. Famous for the abundance of lion, the Great Wildebeest Migration and the Maasai people, well known for their distinctive custom and dress, it is without a doubt one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations.
Maasai Mara National Reserve stretches 1,510 sq km (580 sq miles) and raises 1,500-2,170 meters above sea level. The terrain of the reserve is primarily grassland and riverine forest with clumps of the distinctive acacia trees. It’s about 270 km from the capital city Nairobi and takes about 5-6 hours by road or 40-45 minutes by flight.
The Maasai Mara Ecosystem holds one of the highest lion densities in world and this is where over TWO MILLION Wildebeest, Zebra and Thomsons Gazelle migrate annually. Its hosts over 95 species of mammals and 570 recorded species of birds.
BEST TIME TO VISIT With the wildebeest migration in July to October, this is the best time to see these incredible movement of animals. Although it is not guaranteed that the wildebeest get to Maasai Mara, it has yet to let us down. Also, December to February are great times as it is dryer, however the wildebeest and a lot of the zebra will moved on to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania by then.
RECOMMENDED NUMBER OF DAYS Due the amount to be seen in the reserve we feel a three to five day safari is suitable. If you are interested in photography the longer you stay the more chance of getting the ultimate photo.
