Situated on the beautiful southern coast of Sri Lanka, Talalla Surf Camp offers professional surf coaching and luxury surf & yoga retreats for all surfing levels, From absolute beginners right through to advanced and even competitive level surfers. We are working hard, challenging common preconceptions about surf camps and establishing ourselves as one of the worlds leading surf coaching resorts. We are not your typical surf camp, our professional approach to structured surf coaching programs is unrivalled and perfectly complimented by our luxury accommodation, yoga and fresh fusion cuisine.

We believe the better you get at most sports the more fun they are, surfing included. Thats why here at Talalla Surf Camp we focus on providing the highest level of tailored surf coaching available. We want our guests to learn as much as they can while they are with us, and for their surfing to keep on improving when they get home.

It's because of this ethos that we only employ fully certified coaches who hold International Beach Lifeguarding qualifications too. we feel its important that you should always be coached by a proffessional; If you have ever been taught to drive by a member of your family, you will know the difference between being good at something and being good at teaching it. it's the fastest way to learn and reassuring to know your in safe hands. But it's also really important as you progress because a lot of the more technical aspects of surfing can often be counter intuitive.
Whether it's tempting you into the water for your first session, or teaching you something slightly more advanced like how to stall & accelerate, carving turns or even catching your first unbroken wave, Each of our 90-minute water sessions are goal-orientated and tailored with progression and development in mind.

We offer our guests the perfect environment to totally relax in-between their technical surf coaching and yoga sessions. A hotel of elegant simplicity, Talalla is a place to truly get away from it all and absorb the unsurpassed natural beauty of Sri Lanka. We are based at Talalla Retreat, a boutique hotel and resort overlooking an undiscovered beach of calm turquoise sea at the southern tip of Sri Lanka beside the village of Gandara.
The location of the resort is our greatest facility - the surroundings are lush and tranquil, and The retreat sits just metres from Talalla beach which is an undiscovered cove of crystal clear turquoise water, spotless golden sand and mesmerising sunrises and sunsets. The water is a minute's stroll from your villa through tall palm trees and soft grass... the sea in this secluded cove is generally glassy and calm for safe swimming.

Talalla offers its guests a hotel of elegant simplicity & barefoot luxury, a place to truly get away from it all and absorb the unsurpassed natural beauty and serenity of Sri Lanka. We have 32 spacious, elegantly designed rooms that include open air marble bathrooms, private patios and great views. A sparkling 20 metre spring‐water swimming pool features at the centre of Talalla's lush gardens. It is 20m long and 9m wide, ideal for lap swimmers or lazy days just floating around and perfect for taking a dip to cool off from the midday sun. We also have two custom built yoga pavilions, a spa building, a gourmet open-air restaurant and wireless broadband.

For people wanting to make surfing a big part of their trip, we have created a series of retreats that are a little different to what you might expect of a conventional surf camp.
