Bad Ischl Central is located in the centre of the historical spa town of Bad Ischl, our apartment is right in the heart of the lakes and mountains of the Salzkammergut.

Bad Ischl Central is located in the centre of the historical spa town of Bad Ischl, our apartment is right in the heart of the lakes and mountains of the Salzkammergut. It is easy to reach Hallstatt, Lake Wolfgang ,the Dachstein Caves and Salzburg by public transport.

Our self catering, one bedroom apartment is in a modern apartment house located between the historic Kaiservilla and the Salzkammergut Spa . It is just 100m to the bus stop, shops and restaurants. The Salzkammergut Spa, outdoor swimming pool and Kaiservilla are 200m from the apartment. The main bus/train station is 400m from the apartment.

Our apartment is comfortable and welcoming. It sleeps 2 guests.

There is limited short stay parking in front of the apartment house. Complimentary town centre parking is also provided ( Deposit for parking card €150). The nearest car park, Kaiservilla, is 100m from the apartment building.

This office is across the road from the apartment. The best place to park is the KAISERVILLA car park which is next to the Kaiservilla The Delta Immobilien office is 2 minutes walk from the car park. Walk to the far end of the car park and at the main road by the Hubertushof Hotel turn right and head towards the town centre. Pass a small Peugeot dealer on the right , then the Cafe Lafayette. The Delta Immobilien office is on the right just around the corner opposite the Lehar Film Theater.

Arriving by Train or Bus
If you are arriving by train or bus on any day of the week. Please let us know your arrival time and we can arrange to meet you at the bus/train station in Bad Ischl


A special note for visitors arriving on Saturday:
Most shops in Austria close at lunchtime on Saturday and do not open on Sunday. This includes many food supermarkets!.. There are supermarkets in the town centre which are open until 6pm on Saturday. No supermarkets open on a Sunday

The apartment needs to be vacated by 11:00 on your final day.


Getting Here:
The address of Bad Ischl Central is Kaiser Franz Joseph Strasse but it is actually on a side road off Goetzstrasse . It is in a tall green building next to Weinzierl Car showroom and across the road from the Hubertushof Hotel. Locals refer to the building as Esso Haus.


From Salzburg Airport by public transport

When you get to the airport in Salzburg, you need to get to the main train and bus station in the centre of Salzburg. There is a regular bus from the airport, as you come out of arrivals on the left hand side above the exit door is a board with the times of the next transfer bus. Alternatively there are always taxis outside the airport. A taxi to the station should cost 10 -15 euros.

From the main bus/train station you can catch either a bus or train to Bad Ischl. The bus is number 150 and the bus stops outside the front of the station building. To get all the timetables there is an excellent website see www.oebb.at . This is available in English ( top right hand side box that says sprache - drop down gives english option). To sort the route put in from Salzburg HBF to Bad Ischl. . Alternatively you can travel by train with one change at Attnang Puchheim.

Once you get to Bad Ischl station, there are normally taxis in front of the station. You can also call for a taxi, we recommend a local firm Thomas Streibl, his number is 06132 27125, he speaks some English. If you contact us before you arrive we can normally arrange to meet you at the station.

From Salzburg Airport
From picking up your hire car from the airport

Drive along the front of the hire car offices/ multi storey car park keep in the left hand lane and follow the road round to the left at the end of the offices/car park. Turn right at the mini roundabout. You are now looking for signs for the A1 to Wien ( Vienna). At the traffic lights get in the middle lane and go straight on, down a small underpass. At the next mini roundabout go straight on and take the first right immediately. This is a very sharp right and will take you onto the A1. Make sure you follow signs to Wien. Stay on the A1 for approximately 20 kms. Exit the A1 at signs for toThalgau, Bad Ischl and also the Salzkammergut. Stay on this approximately 8 kms. At the junction of the 147 and the 158 turn left to Bad Ischl.

You will pass St Gilgen, and Strobl,before coming to the outskirts of Bad Ischl.
You will pass a series of out-of-town shops on the left (Hagar, Hofer, Billa) and a Jet petrol station. You will then pass an Audi / VW dealer on the left, and not long after that, you will see a Shell petrol station on the left. Stay on the main road and follow signs to Bad Ischl Zentrum. You will pass through a tunnel and on the other side take the 1st exit off to Bad Ischl Zentrum. At the roundabout by Eurospar turn right and take the 1st right into the Kaiservilla car park. This is a long stay car park. Take a ticket at the barrier and try to park as near to the far end of the car park as possible( then you are nearer to the apartment.) See the check in details for where to meet us to collect the apartment keys. By car it takes around 1 hour from Salzburg.


From Linz and Wien
Take the A1 motorway west. This road is also signposted the Westautobahn.
Exit motorway at Regau, signposted to Bad Ischl. As you approach Bad Ischl, follow the signs for Zentrum. You will have the river on your left and will pass over a bridge before coming to a roundabout where EuroSpar will be facing you. At the roundabout by Eurospar turn right and take the 1st right into the Kaiservilla car park. This is a long stay car park. Take a ticket at the barrier and try to park as near to the far end of the car park as possible( then you are nearer to the apartment.) By car it takes about 1.5 hours from Linz and 3 hours from Wien

Parking
There is very limited short stay parking in front of the apartment block and long stay parking in the Kaiservilla car park 100m form the apartment block. We provide a complimentary parking ticket for the Kaiservilla car park ( returnable deposit €150)
