We share the idea that, traveling is one of the best things in which you can invest time and money. And surely many people love the amazing places, near or far, where nature takes unimaginable shapes and can be enjoyed in a thousand different ways. That's why we have chosen one of these great places to live and enjoy every guest experience in El Chalten, always unique.
We started building our house in 1999. It took time, but in November 2001 finally opened Nothofagus, the first Bed & Breakfast in El Chalten. We started with three rooms to welcome guests from around the world eager to enjoy this incredible corner of Parque Nacional Los Glaciares.
Three years later, we expanded the house, offering travelers comfortable rooms with private or shared bathroom, always with a warm atmosphere and careful hygiene.
Nothofagus B & B is a small place. Only nine guest rooms offer a quiet place and for us the opportunity to serve you with great care and personally. We are waiting for you.

Cancellation Policy: 48 hours.
48 hs. before must pay 10% of the total reservation, 24 hs. 20% of the total booking. If they don't arrive 100% value of the 1st. night.
Minimum stay: No

Check Out time: 10:00.
Method of payment upon arrival: only Cash.

From El Calafate town or El Calafate International Airport: by bus or car are 220 km to El Chalten: take Route 11 until the crossing with Route 40, then take Route 23. The trip takes about 3 hours.
From the bus station in El Chaltén, located at the beginning of the Avenue Güemes: Take this boulevard Güemes Avenue four blocks until Lago del Desierto Avenue and there turn left and walk one block and a half to the corner of the street Hensen. At 50 meters up on your right you will find Nothofagus B & B.
