Program

Day 1 - We meet in Tulcea (at 10), near the ferry crossing, we put the kayaks on the water, do a little training, we sign the tour safety rules papers and start on the water.

We paddle downstream, not on the Danube but on small chanels and wild lakes, to Mila 23: Garla Sireasa, Cot Candura (intersection with Sontea). We paddle slowly, we have enough time. May stop occasionally and stretch our legs, at noon we can afford a longer break of about an hour to eat lunch and something sweet for energy. Our guides will have with them the famous iron cast pot and will make a traditional fish soup. After lunch we take another trip and it's necessarily reach Mile 23 Village where we have reserved accommodation in a 3 *** pension.

This is the most demanding day because you have to paddle the entire distance, there's no way to make shortcuts.

Day 2 - After breakfast we go out on the water and do a beautiful tour: Channel Catavaia, Ligheanca Lake, Lake Vacaru, Channel Sontea, Fortuna Lake (depending on the wind, you cross or bypass it) and back to the village on Sontea Lata on a very scenic route.

At lunch we have a grilled fish / chicken, made by our guides on the water site, in a quiet place.

Day 3 - Waking up, breakfast then put kayaks on the water again and start on a very scenic route: Varsina Canal, Varsina Lake, Torba Goala Chanel, Lake Babina and return home on Eracle and Lopatna chanel.

At noon the guides will make a fish soup again, this time another recipe, on the water site, in a quiet place.

Day 4 - Waking up, breakfast and then take a half day tour: Old Danube, Cazanel Lake, Trei Iezere Lake, Radacinos Lake. It is a very nice lakes route.

Seasonal clothes - necessarily sun hat, robes to not fry in the sun, warm clothes for the evening / morning, thin waterproof clothing.

Hydration liquids, energizing juices (NOT RedBull but athlete versions)
Waterproof protection for camera, phones and devices
Waterproof bags or barrels for clothing and equipment

Luggage

Because we have a support boat after us, there is no need to ultra-compact the luggage. A backpack or a bag of luggage per person in the assistance boat + a hand bag with everything you need half day, with you in kayak.

Assistance Boat

Will carry baggage but will NOT stay with us. The boat depart every step (morning and lunch time) forward and wait for us in lunch and dinner places. One guide will drive this boat, one guide will paddle with you. Both guides will prepare lunch on fire wood and you can participate to this preparation and clean the table and wash the dishes (very much appreciate your involvement in these activites :-). Days 2 and 3 we meet the assistance boat at lunch, if you have something that will need at noon, you can leave luggage in the boat, in the morning.

Kayaks

3 * accommodation danube deltaWe have very good quality Prijon Cruiser kayaks, single and double. Please tell us when you book if you want single or double kayak.

Meals

We bring the food, the guides are very good chefs, you will be amazed how well they can cook in the camping conditions.
Usually, at lunch, we make a soup in pot (can be fish, chicken, pork) + a big rich salad or grilled fish / chicken (combined) + a large salad.
Breakfast and dinner are on board, at the pension.

The price includes:

kayak rental, 4 days
Meals, starting with lunch on Day 1 and ending with lunch on Day 4
Pick up the kayaks in Mila23 (only valid for our kayaks)
Boat (boats) for assistance, including the gasoline (gas is included ONLY! for the route established for this trip, if you want additional transport, the fuel will be paid separately)
2 guides, one will drive the assistance boat and one will paddle with the group in a single kayak
Danube Delta Administration permit fee (we will need the complete name of each one, as is in the ID or passport, few days in advance to buy the permits)

Price does not include:

Drinks from the pension bar
Any kind of insurance (travel, health etc) and it's recommended to take one

Optional:

Single supplement (for accommodation) - 50 euro / person / program
Personal trainer (to go only with you in a double kayak) - 200 euro / program (4 days)

Booking

Have to be done at least 7 days before the trip.

Booking is done by paying a deposit of 50 euro, the rest of the payment can be done in Tulcea, when we meet.

The deposit can be paid by bank transfer or PayPal. Please write to us and we'll send you the payment details.
