Typical Day
Day 1 : Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Sakoura, Dades Gorges.
Greetings at your riad or hotel, Depart Marrakech and drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the pass of Tizi n' Tichka to Ouarzazate, taking time to stop and enjoy impressive landscapes. Stop for lunch and tour the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aďt Benhaddou that is situated on a hill along the Ouarzazate River. This beautiful example of southern Moroccan architecture has been used as a backdrop for over 20 films including Lawrence of Arabia, Jewel of the Nile, The Mummy, and Gladiator. We will head to Film studios, visit Kasbah Taourirt, before you continue to the Rose Valley and visit the amazing Kasbah of Amerhidil in Skoura. Dinner and overnight in Dades Gorges.
Day 2 : Dades Gorges, Tinghir, Arfoud, Merzouga.
Following breakfast, We depart for Tinghir and 20km after, its fabulous canyons, the Todra Gorges Canyons. Free time to walk around the 'Gorges', enjoy the river and the fabulous views. Lunch at a local restaurant. After midday we drive to Tinjdad, with its old underground irrigation system ,and Touroug Palm Plantations reaching Erfoud town for a visit of a local fossil craft workshop. Continuing to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dinner and overnight in a traditional Kasbah.
Day 3 : Erg Chebbi, Khamlia, Sahara Desert.
After breakfast, We will make an amazing excursion of the desert dunes where you will have the opportunity to see the amazing changing contrasts of the desert. We will visit the 'black village' of Khamlia to watch the Gnawa musicians, mines of Mifiss, the plates desert meeting the Berber nomads of the desert, oasis Tissardemine, and return to the hotel around 4 p.m, you will camel trek into the fascinating Erg Chebbi Dunes. You will spend the evening in a Desert Camp, enjoy a Moroccan dinner, listen to the berber music, and sleep in a traditional Nomad camel and goats hair tent.
Day 4 : Merzouga, Rissani, Alnif, Nkoub, Ouarzazate.
Wake-up to a spectacular sunrise in the desert and enjoy breakfast. Bivouac trekkers will return by camel and continue to the small town of Rissani where we will visit the Ksours and Kasbahs of Tafilalt, stopping in the Tafilalt Palm Grove on the way. We will visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif (mausoleum of the dynasty's founder) and experience the local market day in Rissani to see the traditional souks. Next, continue to Ouarzazate via Alnif, Tazarine, Drâa Valley, Agdz, visiting the Tamnougalt Kasbah. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 5 : Ouarzazate, Marrakech.
Following breakfast, We will visit Kasbah Taourirt ( Incredible examples of various buildings that are uniquely constructed from earthly materials).After lunch, We will continue driving back to Marrakech via High Atlas Mountains.
