Reviews of Western Experience at Cedar Breaks Ranch
Kathryn -- Jul 07, 2013 07:22 pm I opted for a Spring vacation to a place I've never been to, to see a landscape I've only viewed in films. The experience was absolutely amazing. Ten thousand acres of breathtaking beauty. Flat as the eye can see, making the sky larger than any I've ever seen. Daylight until late evening hours and dark skies filled with trillions of stars. Prairies and mountainous sunken valleys so different from what I've known in the East USA where I live. Got to see real cowboys, doing real cowboy work ... more
Cedar Breaks Ranch
Don -- Apr 24, 2013 10:19 am I have been going to to Cedar Breaks for several years as it has evolved from just a working ranch/farm into a great outdoor experience for others to enjoy. Ben Doty, ranch manager, IS western- born, raised and educated in the west. The lodge is an original ranch house, modernized only to provide the creature comforts and cleanliness ... more

Experience the Old West on this beatiful 10,000 acre ranch in Western South Dakota. Great for youth groups, office staff, sports teams, families, old friends and new friends. Join us in our day to day activities on this working ranch and let us be your guide to the West. Round up Buffalo and Cattle and go horseback on a cattle drive. Try your hand at driving a tractor or bailing hay. Take a scenic trailride in the footsteps of Lewis and Clark, the legendary war chief Sitting Bull and General Custer. You can feel the history here! Cook out and camp on the banks of the Cheyenne river or just relax in the lodge. We look forward to seeing you around the campfire.
