Hotel Mandarina is a small boutique hotel. It has a history in Manuel Antonio since the early 1990's. It has previously been known as Hotel El Dorado Mojado and Hotel Kekoldi. Under new ownership since May 1st, 2007, the 12 unit hotel has been given the new name, Hotel Mandarina.
Mandarina is known as a small orange, like a tangerine, in Costa Rica. Although, the hotel rooms do not have ocean views, they are set back off the road, away from the noise. Nestled against the lush jungle backdrop, the rooms surround a blue-tiled pool that has a small decorative waterfall. It is a very private place to relax and watch the small monkeys swinging through the overhead canopy.
You can walk down to a secluded beach in 20 minutes or you can take a quick 5 minute drive over to the main beach. Several excellent restaurants and cafes are within walking distance as well.
