Batu Bata Guesthouse is located in heart portion of Carpenter Street in China Town, a very convenient place and walking distance from major tourist landmarks such as the Kuching Waterfront, historical Chinese Temple, Harmony Arch, Brooke memorial, textile museum and many more.
With a rustic concept, guests can feel the ambiance straight away as one enters the place. We appreciate bricks here as Batu Bata means bricks in Malay. There is cement screed floors and counters, antique vase, unique plants, handicrafts decor, classic radio and music player, photographs of tribal people and warriors, bamboo shelves, naked brick walls and many more.
There are 30 beds here, including 6-bed dorms and private rooms and the beautiful outdoor balcony with amazing view available on both floors. The amazing shower tops it off with high power flow from the ceiling shower head not only for a place to bath, but also to refresh your mind when taking a bath. Our amenities here are laundry service, book exchange, free Wi-Fi accessible through top floor, PC, TV room, breakfast area, kitchen, luggage storage and many more.

They do not have pick up service but there's other ways to get here. 20 minutes from the airport by car. Get your taxi coupon from the taxi counter at the airport entrance.
You can also get a local bus but you have to walk (20minutes walk) out from the airport to your right and wait for the bus at the bus stop, and the bus is going to take you to the main bus station here in town but not so far from our place, then you have to walk again for another 10minutes to reach Batu Bata Guesthouse. The property is just on top of 7-Eleven and you can see a signboard of our place right next to the 7-Eleven sign.
