GUIDED SELF-DRIVE SAFARI
Botswana. A land of deserts, pans and deltas... This is a simply stunning country. ... It is a fabulous place for a self drive safari as there is so much to see. ... It is a great way to experience Africa's wild side. Botswana is the real Africa - the major towns are linked with good tarred roads but the wilderness areas are remote and wild, with little or no infrastructure. Most of the attractions are situated in the north around the Okavango Delta, Moremi Wildlife Reserve, Savuti and Chobe National Park. The Makgadikgadi Pans and Nxai Pan National Park is just north of the Central Kalahari National Park
Botswana's driving conditions can be tough as the roads are often deep sand or mud. Thus 4X4 travel in Botswana can be challenging. Our day starts early, and is spent doing game drives, sitting at waterholes, with plenty of time for photgraphy on our way to our next destination.
Age range, type of group
Those who enjoy the outdoor life, driving a 4x4, or in a 4x4, the wild wild atmosphere, as there are no fences keeping the animals out, those who can cope with fixing a puncture, right next to a herd of elephant, or pushing when you get stuck, and then settling down to a nice beer or glass of wine, watching the hippo leave the waters at sunset - they the ones who will love this kind of experience.
