Prince William Sound Eco-Charters
We know Prince William Sound and the marine life it supports. We live in Whittier, which is also our base of operations. Whittier is a short 55 miles away from the City of Anchorage...the main transportation hub in the State.

Our fishing/sightseeing trips are tailored to the group's desires. Although our fishing trips
normally target halibut and salmon, we also catch rockfish, cod and ling cod (beginning July 1st). Along the way we normally travel across semi-protected waters and see glaciers, marine life and occasionally animals on land areas we pass. We also provide transportation to and from locations around the Sound, including lodges, cabins and historical sites.
For private charters, our hours (and rates) are flexible. On scheduled fishing charters
, we normally leave the harbor around 7 am and return by 6 pm (it's a full day). On a typical day, clients come through the Anton Anderson Tunnel ($13 ticket) and meet us at one of several locations in Whittier. We provide parking passes for the day. After loading up the boat, we head out into the Sound in comfortable and safe surroundings on the "Eye of the Storm", a custom-built boat. We have state of the art systems on board and boast the ability to use our underwater camera at times.
Age range, type of group
Typically, families and groups with no real age restrictions. We do ask parents of small children to monitor their activities and keep them occupied and under control at all times.
Sleeping and meals
Occasionally, for larger groups, we do offer a complimentary snack. Box lunches can be arranged from several businesses that we recommend.
Policies & Restrictions
No pets, no smoking, no heavy drinking, no drugs (except normal prescriptions).
Our charges for a full day of fishing
are $326 per person, with half day charters (mainly salmon) pegged at $176/person. We need at least 6, or have clients pay for 6, in order to make a charter work. We can take up to 12 clients at a time.
