8.00 am we depart by bus to start explore Mekong delta for two days by bikes. After leaving the crowded city, we get in Cai be pier where we start your tour here with a boat trip. Our motorized boat traverses over the mighty Mekong River to Tan Phong Island in Vinh Long where we enjoy a lunch at a beautiful local house. Then we start cycling about one hour under green canopy, exploring the orchards and daily life of the locals to Dong Phu island. Spend time to explore surroundings on your pedals including lush green gardens, local markets and schools. We keep our bikes to Cho Lach then reach to our homestay in Ben tre around dinner time. Take a bath and join in fun cooking time. Overnight home stay with a local family.

Day 2: Ben Tre bike to My tho - Con Phung (Phoenix island) - Saigon
After breakfast, we start cycling 4hrs back on small trail along the river, see daily life of the locals, feeling lost on winding road under the green coconut canopy to My Tho. We will board on a local ferry to enjoy relaxing time before arriving in Con Phung (Phoenix island). Enjoy lunch in Con Phung. After lunch, we keep biking on dirt trails to explore bonsai, nursery gardens, race with local boats carrying baby trees to market. We return to Saigon in afternoon with about 1.5 hours transfer.
Trip completes in Saigon around 5.30pm. Our biking tour for "A Taste of Mekong" ends up on hotel arrival

Introductory Grade that means this tour involve in 2-3 hours of active, physical-required activities per day at a slow but steady pace. Your track trails are predominately on good conditions and tracks and might include some easy pass crossings such as a mix of quiet paved roads, forestry tracks and easy double tracks.
Your muscles are going to relatively tense sometimes, especially for adventurous newcomers however there are some relax intervals helping you back to the phase. You should have an average level of fitness. No special notices required.

All meals, which are indicated in the itinerary, are included in the price of this trip. While in big towns we will enjoy Vietnamese cuisine in fine restaurants. Once we travel away from big towns, the emphasis will be on healthy and nutritious fresh local produce.
HOTEL AND HOMESTAY
In big towns we use the finest 3 star hotels with center location. In remote areas we use the best hotels or guest houses available.
Homestay in villages is simple in term of bedding condition and amenities. We will sleep on beds or floor with mattress, clean sheet, pillows and mosquito nets. Toilet is usually western style
OUR BIKING TOUR GUIDE
The tour will be led by one of our tour guides who is experienced in guided cycling tours in Vietnam. He has been carefully trained in this field and is fully licensed in tour guiding by the government. In addition, he has been trained in first-aid by SOS International and he knows how to deal with difficult situations. You will have a great time traveling with him.
THE BIKING DAYS
A typical biking day starts at about 8.30 am after breakfast. Lunch times can vary depending on the distance. We aim to reach the next overnight stop by 4.30 or 5. During the biking we will have plenty short breaks for rest, snack and photographing.
On this tour we use TREK 3900 and TREK 4500 disc brake with different sizes for this biking adventures in Mekong Delta due to its natural road features. Biking helmet of good quality is also provided.
