Trip are well suited for the first timer. Canoeing Maine's remote Allagash and St Croix Rivers to mention a few. Expect to paddling 5-7 hours per day. Involves daily set up and take down of camp. It's not a marathon and down time is built into the daily schedule.

Except for the 1st and last days, average distance and time on the water is 10 miles and 6-7 hours with breaks and lunch. Our itinerary is planned to arrive in camp by the middle of the afternoon allowing for time to set up camp and enjoy some down time. During this time, you may want to swim, fish, help with camp chores, learn a new camping skill, head off with your camera in search of wildlife and explore.

We welcome families, friends groups, youth and scout groups and custom private trips for your family or group. Our St Croix River 3 and 5 day trips are well sited for families with younger kids. The Allagash we like the minimum age to be 12 for our 5 day trips and minimum age of 14 for our 7 day trips.
Sleeping and mealskeyboard_double_arrow_up
Sleeping is in spacious tents with self inflating sleeping pads. Meals are cooked over the open fire and are delicious! Lots of fruits and vegetables provided! as well as local sourced foods, filet mignon and wild caught Sockeye Salmon from Alaska!

No pets, no pot or CBD products. Boxed wine and canned beers are ok for a social drink once we are off the river and in camp.
