A camping safari in the bush of Tanzania is the quintessential private African safari experience. A choir of nocturnal birds, insects and distant roaring lions lullabies you to sleep.
Sitting around an open camp fire with the southern skies bright overhead is the real way of appreciating Africa's magic.
Each tent is large, spacious and well ventilated.
No bed provided but there is a foam mattress on the ground with floor canvas. On a basic camping safari guests sleep in private tents in designated campsites in or near national parks. Our safari crew sets up the camp and prepares all the meals. Whenever possible, we use more remote campsites to make your camping experience more private. There are permanent toilet and shower facilities at almost all the campsites. We heat water for showers at more remote sites.
Proceeds from the trip benefits the Maasai Harmonial Development and Sustainability community-based organization (CBO). This organization strives for self-reliance and sustainability by education of boys and girls, education of girls beyond primary school to keep them from an early marriage, building of a nursery school to bring young children up to par with their Swahili-speaking peers, women's livelihoods, men's alternative livelihoods, microloans, health and family planning, improved animal husbandry, youth empowerment, education in male responsibility towards women, and college or vocational education in areas that will benefit the community.
