Active Adventure

The trek to Annapurna Base camp combines some of the most spectacular mountain scenery with a fascinating insight into the life of the Nepalese. The major inhabitant of the region is gurung famous for their courage and bravery during the world wars. Along the trail to base camp you will trek through dense forests of bamboo, rhododendrons and oaks into the territory of the Annapurna Conservation Area Park. From there you will follow the only rugged trail into the Modi Khola Valley which leads you to base camp from the populated village of Chomrong. After reaching Deurali the vegetation remains thinner but the towering peaks of Machhapuchere at 6994 meters begin to appear in close by. As you continue to Machhapuchere base camp the trail is steep and challenging. From the foot of Machhapuchere it is a two hour gradual ascent to the high glacial basin that is the Annapurna base camp.

From the base of Annapurna the view is absolutely stunning as you gaze upon some of the most legendary peaks in the Himalayan Range including Annapurna One, Annapurna South, Gangapurna and Machhapuchere. And that is only the beauty above are around you the glacier that base camp sits on is a beautiful feature that is worth the trek to explore. Challenge yourself to reach new and beautiful heights on this fascinating trek that is incomparable with any other in Nepal.

Typical Day

The trek begin after breakfast around 8.30 am,we stop around 11.30 for Lunch , we will have approximately 1.30 hours Lunch break, the rest of the trek will continue until evening around
After the end of the day most of the lodges have hot shower facilities, then evening dinner will be served around 19.30pm.


DAY 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Our airport representative meet you at Kathmandu airport then transfer you to the hotel, we provide 3-star accommodation during your stay.

DAY 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Our professional tour guide brings you to see the ancient monuments of the Kathmandu valley, most notable of which are the Kathmandu Darbar square and Swyambhunath, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

DAY 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m/5hrs)

We depart Kathmandu for the five hour drive to Pokhara, 200 kilometers to the west. As we drive out of the Kathmandu valley we descend to the Trisuli River, which we follow upstream to its junction with the Marsyangdi River. We follow the Marsyandi gently up through heavily terraced fields and small hill towns to the Seti River that takes us directly into Pokhara. Pokhara is tourist's paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples of Buddhist and Hindus along with mountains and usually pleasant weather. We can observe views to the north across the hills and Phewa Tal (lake) to the white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

DAY 4: Trek Pokhara to Thikhedhunga (1050/5hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel in Pokhara we drive for 1 hours to Nayapul. Then we start our trek. The first part of which is easy passing through numerous small villages and settlements. Afterward we ascend gently to the final destination of the day Thikhedhunga. The majority people here are Gurung and their religion is Buddhist. They are engaged in agricultural activities, tourism business and some are employed in Gurkha and Indian regiments.

DAY 5: Trek Tirkhedhunga to Ghorepani (2675 m/6hrs)

We begin the day with a steep ascent for the nearly 2 hours and then continue gently and pass through Ulleri and Banthanti, Magar villages. On the way, we see good views of Machhapuchhare (or Fish Tail at 6997m), Hiunchuli (6441m), and Annapurna (7219m) south. Now our trail is quite easier passing through rhododendron and shadowy trees and descends gently up to the final camp we will encounter wildlife along the way including monkeys and various species of birds along the way.

DAY 6: Trek Ghorepani to Tadapani (2675m/5.30hrs)

Early morning trip to Poon Hill (3232m) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche Peak (6920m), Nilgiri (6940m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna III (7855m), Machhapuchhare (6993m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna II (7937m), Lamjung Himal (6931m) and other numerous snow-capped mountain peaks. After the sunrises we head back to the lodge and have breakfast before trekking to Tadapani (2650m). After walking for almost one and half hours we reach Gurung Hill which has as splendid mountain views as Poon Hill. From here we follow the trail through small forests with rhododendron and bamboo until we reach Deurali. The trail descends steeply through deep forests all the way to Banthati. It takes one hour from here to reach Tadapanil.

DAY 7: Tadapani to Chhomrong (2040 m/5hrs)

At the beginning we descend steeply for an hour and half to Gurjung(1600m) and we ascend gentely and walk on the level for 2 hour before we ascend gently to the final camp. Chhumrung is a gateway to Annapurna Sanctuary trek and inhabited by Gurung, one of the major Ethnic groups of Nepal.

DAY 8 : Trek Chhomrong to Bamboo (2340m/5hrs)

Leaving Chhomrong, the trail descends ddown a stone staircase and crosses the Chhomrong Khola on a swinging suspension bridge, then climbs out of the side valley. High above the Modi Khola on its west bank, the trail passes through the tiny settlement of Tilicho in forests of bamboo, rhododendron and oak. Climbing further on a rocky trail (beware of the stinging nettles) we reach Sinuwa, at 2350 meters. Afterward we trek through rhododendron forests to Kuldi, at 2520 meters. This was once a British sheep-breeding project; now the stone houses are an ACAP visitor center and check post. In winter, it's common to find snow anywhere from this point on. Descending a long steep stone staircase into deep bamboo and rhododendron forests, it is then a short distance on a muddy trail to Bamboo Lodge (2340m).

DAY 09: Trek Bamboo to Deurali (3230m/5hrs)

We trek gently ascending through bamboo forests with varieties of rhododendron and oak trees. The first hut we reach is Dovan, at 2630 meters, where there are few lodges and campsites. Now we pass through muddy trail, which traverses high above the river. There are usually avalanche debris except during winter season. After a short trek, we reach the Himalayan Hotel (2900m.), the town named after the Himalayan Hotel. Beyond it, the trail is ascends steeply up to Hinko Cave (3160m.), this is a huge overhanging rock that provides some protection against rain and avalanches. It takes approximately twenty minutes through normally ascent path to reach Deorali (3230m.)

DAY 10: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4170 m/4hrs)

From here, the valley widens and becomes less steep and we see the gates to the sanctuary. As the trail continues into the sanctuary, it crosses two avalanche tracks on a narrow trail that hurdles up against the cliffs. After a short trek we will arrive at Bagar (3310m), a meadow and some abandoned hotels. The normal trail follows the left side of the valley. Now the trail appears to gently ascend until you reach Machhapuchhare Base Camp (3820m). Here we find almost 6 to 7 lodges. This is one of the places, where we can enjoy the view of Mount Hiunchuli (6441m), Annapurna South (7229m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna III (7555m), Gangapurna (7454m) and Machhapuchhare or Fish Tail (6997m). The path follows through alpine meadow and after some distance your trails go gently up. After a short trek, we begin to approach Annapurna Base Camp (4170m). From here we have a panoramic view of several beautiful peaks.

DAY 11: Trek Annapurna Base Camp to Dovan (2630m/5hrs)

It's much easier going down. You may have no problem reaching Sinuwa in a single day from Annapurna Base Camp. Now you trek through Himalayan Hotel to Dovan.

DAY 12: Trek Dovan to Jhinudanda (1750m/6hrs)

The path descends to Bamboo passing through forests with varieties of rhododendron, oaks and bamboo plants. After Bamboo, the trail goes steeply up to the Kuldi Ghar and now the trail is quite flat until you reach Sinuwa. You trek gradually descend to the Chhumrong Khola and you have to follow stone staircase for almost an hour to reach Chhumrong. The last part of the trail is steeply down to Jhinudanda. From the town you should walk down for 20 minutes to reach Hot Spring at the bank of the Modi Khola. You can relax at the hot springs.

DAY 13: Trek Jhinudanda to Pothana (1600m/5hrs)

The first part of the trek is a descent and then traverses flat land until you reach Himal Pani. Here we come across a beautiful waterfall. Beyond this town, the trail ascends gently crossing numerous streams and terraces. After a short trek, you will be at Landruk (1640m), a pretty big village inhabited by mixed community of Gurung, Magar and Brahmin as well. Now the trail gently ascends to Tolka (1850m) and then ascent and level path to Bherikharka. From here, the trail goes steeply up to Deorali (2100m) with a view of different mountain peaks in panorama. Now the trail gradually descends to Pothana passing through different oak forests. Pothana is a small town resided by Gurung, an ethnic community of Nepal. From here too, you can enjoy the splendid views of various mountain peaks.

DAY 14: trek Pothana to pokhara (1015/3hrs)

We trek only 3hrs then have lunch in Pokhara, Afternoon free time

DAY 15: Drive to Kathmandu ( 6hrs)

DAY 16: Airport transfer : Our airport representative will transfer you to the airport at the given time.

We offer this trek to everyone from above 16 year of age to all age group who are physically fit for walking 5/6 hours a day in mountainous terrain.

family, couples, singles, youth vs. senior are welcome to join the trek

We offer Lodge accommodation on this trek, the Lodges are owned by local people they serve meals as well.


No restriction on smoking and gender, pets is prohibited, age under 16 can join the trek but our trek leader may stop him/her in after certain altitude.

The term and condition of the booking

# we request you to deposit 20% of the total tour cost at company's bank account to secure your booking on your desired date.

# if you cancel your booking not more than a month before of your scheduled tour the company is not compelled for refund the deposited amount. But if you wish you may transfer your deposit to another tour, for this you need to make a written request to the company as soon as you decide to cancel a tour program. If the second tour program is more expensive than the cancelled one you need to bear the extra cost
# We will not cancel the tour unless the unpredictable circumstances compelled us to do so, like flight cancellation, civil or political unrest, war or anything that cause the disturbances in the tour.
#if we cancel your tour by our reason, we will offer an alternative tour, If it is not satisfactory to you we will refund all the money paid to us to the date.
# The Company reserves the right to adjust the price with the fluctuation in the economic market but we will inform the concerned about the likely changes before 4 weeks of departure. If you are not satisfied with the changes, you have to write to the office addressing to the booking officer within 7 days of the notification of the surcharge. We will try to develop understanding/compromises. If we fail to do so we will ask you to cancel the tour.
