There is a large population of turtles and Napoleon wrasses. But also lots of small reef dwellers, such as leaf fish, frog fish, nudibranchs, mantis shrimp, etc. can be seen here. Hunters, such as barracuda, mackerel, tuna or wahoo are plentiful. A large number of schooling fish such as sweetlips, butterfly fish, parrot fish, bat fish provide for a lot of color in addition to the various soft and hard corals in the reef.
Because of its accessibility most liveaboard trips take place in the atolls of North Male, South Male, Ari, Vaavu, Meemu, Nilandhe, Baa or Laviyani.
More remote, and therefore more untouched dive sites offer Huvadhoo Atoll and Addu Atoll in the south, or the Haa Alif or Haa Dhaal atoll in the North. For exploring these waters another domestic flight is required.
Our group tours for divers are ideal for diving clubs, diving schools and shops who want to organize their own dive trips or just want to explore the colorful diversity of the Maldivian reefs together. Our ship "MV Aisha" is particularly well suited for groups up to 14 people.
Our crew and our dive guide have excellent dive knowledge of the dive sites and current flow conditions in the different atolls. In general, 3 dives per day, and one night dive per week are performed.
Our liveaboard is designed for divers who prefer "intense and professional diving" in small groups. We dont do "pack-diving", the group is always manageable, so that even under water an optimal support is guaranteed. Even underwater photographers and underwater filmmakers will get their value and be happy about their "freedom under water". Independent Diving in buddy teams is possible after consultation and taking account of the diving safety rules.( depending on dive site conditions and divers experience)
The duration of the dive safaris can be freely selected, usually they take 7 days, 10 days or 2 weeks, depending on the time and route. We always recommend to plan plenty of time for a extended route to avoid too much time driving. Optimal routes provide the central atolls, MALE, ARI, VAAVU, MEEMU, LAVIYANI and BAA, which may due to their location quickly and easily be reached from the international airport in Male. These atolls offer everything a diver wishes for. Reefs covered with colorful soft coral, wrecks, channels, drop offs, shoals of fish, "small stuff" and the big ones, like manta rays, whale sharks and grey reef sharks.. The underwater world of the Maldives is among the top dive destinations worldwide.
