Refugios del Perú - Sierra de Lunahuaná is located in the Cordillera de los Andes, at 3,190 meters (10,527 feet) above sea level. The region has been almost completely unaffected by the modern world, preserving the indigenous culture of the people and the natural beauty of the land. The sprawling valleys and dramatic peaks of the region are filled with secluded pueblos, highland lagoons, rivers, lakes, wild llamas, sheep and alpaca.
