Dog sledding with Laurel Adventure Nature was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I live in Boston, MA and dog sledding was one of the activities on my bucket list along with visiting Canada for the first time, so I decided to plan a trip that killed 2 birds with one stone.
I brought 4 other girlfriends with me and they all had a blast as well even though some of them never would have even thought of going dog sledding. Our group was aged 20-27, but I would recommend this activity for just about anyone, young or old!
It took us 6 hours to drive from Boston, and unfortunately my car broke down about an hour away from the dog sledding location, but Marie Helene was extremely accommodating and was able to pull some stings and schedule us for the next day. What an angel :) I am so grateful for everything she did because my trip would have been a total flop without being able to go dog sledding.
I am a huge animal lover and was a little concerned about how the dogs would be treated, but let me tell you these dogs love what they do! One of the most important rules we were told was to treat the dogs with love and respect because they are their babies. That rule put a smile on my face. Every dog they own is socialized, friendly and well behaved because they are so loved by the owners and the visitors that meet them.
I cannot stress enough how amazing the hospitality at Laurel Adventure Nature is. They are definitely one of the many reasons I fell in love with Canada on my trip.
