    Bad Customer Service

    Booked stay at 'The Camphouse' for a night. Drove down from Auckland and got there by 9.20PM. Got the key stuck in the main door and called owner at 9.30PM. Not much help with anything, so slept on the couch.

    Managed to yank key off the door in the morning otherwise would've been charged $50 for not returning key on time and another $15 for leaving car parked in secure park {which could only be opened with the key}.

    On emailing owner if he would consider a 50% refund as I didn't end up staying in the room at all - his response was stupefying and perfect example of bad customer service - phrases like 'woke up a young family at 10.30PM {incorrect}; 'you managed to get the key out in the morning, so you could've done it at night, so it's really your fault', left a bad taste in the mouth.

    Fantastic location - if only there customer service was above average. And check their cancellation policy otherwise you might end up getting stung big time.
