In 1991 our family made the move from Toronto Ontario to Buckhorn. An avid cottageing family, enjoying the lake and outdoor experiences that Buckhorn seemed to offer, so to move to Buckhorn and the Kawarthas, location and scenery: the Canadian shield, on the Trent Severn Waterway, vast arts community and only 20 minutes north of Peterborough, with Trent University and Sir Sanford College was an absolute no brainer and effortless transition. Buckhorn is the Gem of the kawartha Lakes, only 90 minutes from Toronto and yet a world away, the perfect getaway!!
