Best of Ambergris Cay

This was such a fun place to stay. My husband and I have stayed on Ambergris 6 times; I wish we had found Latitudes, sooner. We are so pleased with the location and wonderful hosts at Latitudes. We felt like we were at home, without the housekeeping or dishes. The courtyard was lovely, and the courtesy extended was quite heartwarming. We're planning to stay at Latitudes, the next time we return. We definitely recommend it!!

The best little hotel in San Pedro, Belize

I just spent a few days in San Pedro, Belize at Changes in Latitudes, a quaint B&B run by Cindy and Renita, two of the friendliest and best-connected innkeepers on the island. If you are looking for a Sheraton and all its amenities, this is not the place for you. But if you are instead looking to stay at a place that feels like home, then Changes in Latitudes is your best choice. Located within walking distance of San Pedro Town, the B&B is close enough to the action yet far away from the noise. It is a half block from the beach and provides access to the pool at the Belize Yacht Club next door. Cindy and Renita introduced me to a "Who's Who" of San Pedro residents, adding to my Belizean experience. Breakfast is excellent and Josimar, a young jack-of-all-trades at the property, is a wealth of information on some of the island's off-the-beaten-path destinations. He won't just tell you where they are, but will gladly take you there. Rooms are small, but comfortable. A courtyard patio offers comfy chairs and hammocks, with impromptu cocktail parties always a possibility. I had never been to Belize, but am now planning my second trip and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.
