Best vacation ever! Patti -- Nov 25, 2010 05:57 pm We chose Real Adventure Safari based in Arusha, Tanzania because two friends had taken a safari with them and highly recommended it. We do too. It was the best vacation we’ve ever had. Our guide and driver, Gideon, spoke perfect English and knew how to handle everything that came up. Our September two week safari was a customized tour based on their Northern Circuit safari and included many national parks and conservation areas in northwest Tanzania. We saw all the animals. It was fantastic! On our tour we visited tribes including the Maasai, Datoga and Hadzabe. We were healthy the whole trip with no digestive problems, and no mosquitos. Our lodging ranged from luxurious 5 star hotels to luxury tented camps out in the wilderness, listening to all the animals. The food was great. All in all we think everyone should see this area of our world and the incredible animals and culture. Most tour companies could provide the above, but Real Adventure Safari stood out from the others in several important ways. Our driver/guide Gideon was consistently the best spotter around. There were several occasions where we were amazed that he had spotted a distant animal, while driving in the bush no less. More than once, tourists in other cars complemented him on his spotting ability. Furthermore, once Gideon had spotted animals, he could assess the situation and position us right where the action was going to take place. We would wonder why we were leaving an area where predators were and drive some distance away, only to find a little later that the kill would happen right in front of us. I noticed that many other tour cars would follow Gideon. He obviously had earned their respect as well. Eli, the business manager, was very organized and made the trip arrangements easy. They were willing to arrange a custom tour that met our needs and budget. The itinerary included just the right balance of rest and activity, and natural and cultural focus. Eli and Gideon were friendly and efficient and helped make the trip fun. I especially liked that Real Adventure Safari was locally owned and didn’t take the money out of the country. Safari and Zanzibar 04th -23th August, 2010 Stefano -- Aug 27, 2010 08:32 am We were very satisfied for all services, excellent driving/Guiding, skill and knowledge by Gideon. Very punctual responses. We recommend Real Adventure Company for your tour in Tanzania. Real Adventure Safaris: Outstanding Laurel -- Apr 02, 2010 09:15 pm Real Adventures is locally run and owned by Tanzanians. So your money is going directly to the Tanzanian economy. Their guides speak several languages and are fully trained about all the plants, birds and animals. The are very familiar with the history and culture of the area because they are natives of the area. I took a 15-day safari trip with them and they bent over backwards to make sure we saw everything we wanted to see. The accommodations were hotels mostly and they were better than the hotels I stay in in the US. Great food also and I did not have to worry about eating or drinking anything for fear of getting sick. During the trip they were also flexible and fun and the guides are truly excited about showing off their country. I highly recommend them. Company Recommendation Joyce -- Mar 28, 2010 11:03 am I'm reaching out on behalf of Real Adventure. I'm a US citizen who has organized my own travels to Tanzania, so I know it can be difficult to find trust worthy local agents---particularly when you're planning your trip from far. Luckily, on my trips to East Africa I had the opportunity to meet Zephaniah and Gideon of Real Adventure. They have been working in the travel business for over 10 years and that experience is invaluable to helping their guests have a memorable, safe, and first rate trip. They are locals who know the region and can adapt a trip to meet your needs and interests. I wish you the best in planning your trip to Africa. It will be an adventure of a lifetime! Safari salama! (Safe journey!) Kind Regards, Joyce DeMucci-----USA |
