We were at the NH Bruges with an escorted tour group, and I found the hotel to be outstanding. The rooms were comfortable and large (by European standards), well equipped and boasting a wonderful European style bathtub - longer, deeper and narrower than American tubs). Older guests might find the height of the tub disconcerting, as it isn't easy to get in and out with old muscles.
The food in the restaurant was quite good, especially for a hotel restaurant. The amenities were indoors, providing a respite from the near constant rain.
The hotel provides free wifi, but only in the Lobby. In your room it will cost you. But the lobby is quite large, so it's not too bad. This practice was quite common in Europe, if free wifi was offered at all.

Stayed here for Easter weekend. Great location, walking distance from train station and center of city. Wonderful accomodations, large room, clean bathroom and great service. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent, well worth the price. Enjoyed a five course Easter Meal that was truly out of this world. Waitstaff was great too. Also nice to have a pool and fitness roomin the hotel (it gave us something to do while it rained outside).
