I've never stayed anywhere quite like this before. It was in a nice location, with some nice quaint little shops along the drive. We had an unlimited supply of liquor and pawnshops right outside our hotel as well as a nice chinese food place that closes quite late. The walk for pizza is just a couple blocks down the road, and there is a cute little restaurant inside, which we never ate it. You get your excerise in while staying here, as the elevator has been broken for a number of years. You also dont get to go for a dip as the pool is broken, however that was probablly for the better. We never had a lock on our patio door... but hey, easy access and our fridge was quite compact. The only complaint I have was the sink hole in the middle of our room, our floor had sunken in. The staff was very friendly and they give great deals! What a good choice!

We checked in for a couple of nights, because of the low price.
First (and the last) nights stay, my vehicle was broken into. I was parked in clear veiw of the front counter (15 - 20 feet away). The hotel says it has security!!! The Edmonton police station is around the corner but did not deter the theives. The location is in a bad part of town (come to find out later).
The hotel did not notify me nor do anything to secure my vehicle, even though they knew it was broken into several hours before. 3 others vehicles where broken into as well that night.
The manager would not meet with the peoples who's vehicles where broken into. The hotel manager offered a comp nights stay only after geting int touch with him. After I called HOJO headquarters did the Hotel Manager refund my stay and did nothing to assist on the $260 worth of damage.
The room was grungy.
The pool was broken.
Humm all in all, pay the extra and enjoy your stay in edmonton. Wew left and went to another place and felt alot safer.

I made a comment to the manager and He advised me that the Hotel is being Renovated and I will se a Huge difference in Everything very shortly. I can already see the difference in the room that I stayed in. I will definetely stay here when I travel to Edmonton.

the only ones who seem to know what they are doing is the girl in the resturaunt. my room had dirty linen, the phone was broken, the elevator smelled like urine. they also try to tell you they have the best price guarantee. the only thing guarenteed there is the noise from the street and the bad taste. even the pool was disgusting. i had to take a hot shoer after i used it to get the smell of me i wouldnt reccomend this place to my worst enemy.
