Don't Trust Super 8 Castlegar

This hotel is in it for the money grab. They just charged me an additional $200 for my room as they said I was (or someone was) smoking pot in the room. This did not happen, I offered to even prove that I do not have that stuff in my system and they still would not reverse the charges. Apparently 3 staff members confirmed the smoking accusation and when I asked how they would know what the smell was, the manager defended her staff the same way I defended myself. When I got defensive the manager started to tell me that I should have paid even more because of my pet and asked if I had notified them of the pet when I checked in - I said no, I got the room I got because I told them I would be bringing my pet with me and the woman at the front desk watched my walk by with my cat and I am sure they saw a bit of cat litter on the floor after I left. I am convinced the manager mentioned this pet thing because she knew they were in the wrong, forgot to charge me for the pet and added the extra $200 because of this - really nice. Will never stay at Super 8 again and would not recommend it - watch out for them, is my best advice. I stayed at 4 other hotels on my trip and had no other problems. DO NOT TRUST CASTLEGAR SUPER 8.
