2 hours to check in extremely tiny room compared to what was shown in the pictures too busy elevators average room service 30-40 minutes food below average, better eat outside

I always choose to stay in Mandarin orchard everytime Im in Singapore whether it be for business of pleasure. It is soo convenient as it is very near to the MRT station and also very near to shopping centers. The staff are also very friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone planning to go and visit Singapore.

ROOM. Very comfortable and well appointed. CLEANLINESS.Both room & bathroom were clean and tidy. linen and towels readily provided. Staff were obliging and helpful. SECURITY.Safe in the room. access to your room via the elevator with swipe type card stopped unwanted visitors wandering around the floors. LOCATION.As we were accompanied by onther person who has limited walking power the location was perfect. he could return to hotel with ease and rest while we went about our business. FOOD. We did not eat there as we were more interested in the local food however what was displayed looked very appertising. RECEPTION. A little confusing initially as it is on 2 levels. Apart from that they we very assisting. RETURN VISIT. We are looking to stay there again when we are in Singapore in October 2011.

I stayed at the Meritus for 8 days in May 2007. The place was fantastic and the front of house staff were excellent. The living orchids that are in the main foyer are spectacular. The rooms are well appointed with most (I think) having king sized beds. I could not really fault the Meritus at all. It is close to all of the major shopping areas on Orchard Road and a short walk to Somerset MRT. Great location and great service.
