I stayed at this hotel because it was the location of a class I was attending. The accommodations were okay, but the amenities were fair to poor. The toilet in my room was broken which I didn't realize until late (10 p.m.), no maintenance people were available to fix it, and they couldn't give me another room because they were booked. When I did change rooms the following morning because maintenance couldn't be there until noon, I left some paperwork in one of the dresser drawers. When I realized it the following morning when I was trying to leave at 5 a.m., the front desk told me I would have to wait until 7 a.m. when housekeeping arrived to check their office for the paperwork because they didn't have keys to the housekeeping staff's room. The hotel attendants attempted to make-up for these problems with a number of "I apologize. I understand your frustration," but it didn't work. No they didn't understand my frustration at all.

The rooms were typical Hampton Inn quality. However, the friendly and attentive service by everyone in which I came in contact made this stay a 4-star experience.

The title says it all, well almost. The hot breakfast was delicious, the complimentary newspaper was informing, the cold bottled water was thirst-quenching, the non-smoking facility was refreshing, and the shopping/restaurant area next door was convenient. Thanks for a pleasnt hotel experience.

Good price for being fairly close to downtown. I like the Greek restaurant in the shopping center next door. It is also close to the Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
