We have been staying here for a couple years on our way up to mammoth. It was always ok, clean, but a little shabby. This trip we got a room that had been remodeled, nicer bathroom area, nicer decor, pretty big flat screen tv. Ok it's not Four Seasons but we were happy to see the good changes. Also they have a nice free breakfast! I don't think the whole place has been remodeled yet but it looks like they are making good progress. Staff is nice and even gave us the weather report for Mammoth the next day!

We stayed for one night on our way up to Mammoth. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was nice and they had a tastey breakfast in the morning. Really good waffles, cereal and bagels type stuff,
Sure it's not the Ritz, but it totally worked for our needs.
