Spent a recent weekend here with the family for some snow play. We have previously stayed at this hotel when it was under different management and were pleased, although it is a relatively generic hotel in an otherwise incredible location. Unfortunately, our latest (and now last) stay was horrible. First and foremost, if you are not on the top floor, you should expect that your room will shake and shudder from the noise made by guests staying above you. Cheap lumber floors make even modest movement by those staying above you sound like thunder. Add cheap walls between rooms and you can double your displeasure if you are lucky enough to have people staying above you and next to you.
During our stay, the party staying in the room directly above us were jumping, partying, stomping, jumping on beds, slamming doors, etc. until the wee hours of the morning. When we called down to the front desk after 11 p.m. (on both nights of our stay) to ask that they speak with the individuals, we were told that they would send security. On the first night, security was sent (we could hear from our room the knock on the door and the security guard speaking with the people in the room above us - we heard every word) but was ineffective. The noise continued until well after 1 a.m.
On the second night, we had to call the front desk twice with no assistance. The employee told us that the security guard could not hear anything from the hall outside the room. I invited them to come to our room to hear the noise above us, but they declined. When our next door neighbors arrived at 12:30 a.m. from an obvious night of drinking, we were treated to more noise of various sorts. Needless to say, we got very little sleep.
Surprisingly, we were not offered another room, a comp'd breakfast, or any courtesy adjustment to our bill. With that, this property lost any chance of us returning. Note to management: If you have unhappy guests (even if you do not believe you are at fault), a small token of recognition goes a long way to keeping them as customers.
It is too bad, the location is wonderful and, if done right, this resort could be a real jewel. Instead, it is obvious they are relying too much on location and shortchanging service. Too many other gems available in the area to settle for what is offered here.

We've been going to this hotel for over 7 years. We've noticed a serious decline in their customer service ever since they moved to new management. This is so unfortunate, as we loved this hotel. Our last experience left us departing the hotel at midnight. We were smoked out of our room by an out of control wedding party. The hotel handled this, not by controlling the issue, but by moving us to a dark forgotten room somewhere in the hotel. When we voiced our complaint, the night manager yelled at us, then hung up on us. Amazing customer service. I recommend to either be a sheep and be pushed around like riff raff or choose another location, at least until the night manager is removed from his position.

We celebrated our 45th anniversary at the Resort and Spa and had a wonderful time. The staff was exceptional -- from the reservationist (Scarlett) through checkout. The entire staff including the restaurant staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and attended to our every need. The room was great with modern amenities and an outstanding view. We'll be back.

This hotel is in a lovely setting on the edge of Lake Arrowhead. It is very close to the Lake Arrowhead Village and just steps to the hotel's private lake area. The hotel restaurant was only so-so for lunch. But I understand dinner is very good. The spa is really nice with a sauna, whirpool spa, locker rooms and you may purchase services like pedicure and massage. The rooms are a good size and they all have little decks with a table and chairs. I went to relax and it was perfect for that. My only complaint was that there were a few times when I could hear noises coming from above and outside my room. But luckily, it did not last long.

Great hotel on the Lake for some summertime fun.
Loved the pool area ... equipped with two jacuzzis, a bar and plenty of lawn chairs to lay out on. Plus you get access to the "private beach" by being a resort guest. Since you can't access the lake from anywhere else, this is perfect.
Their gym facility was much larger than I had anticipated, which was a blessing in disguise. Plenty of cardio machines, weight machines and some free weights along with a weight bench.
The room itself was clean and pretty large. I believe each room has their own balcony. Unfortunately, ours didn't face the lake, but it was still very nice with the warm summer weather accompanied by the cooling breeze over the lake.
Bonus: free Wi-Fi throughout the facility (which always makes me happy). AND they're pet friendly! Who doesn't love pets??
Easy access to the village makes this our #1 go-to spot when we come up during the warm summer months.
