Rooms were small and somewhat outdated. The room was clean but worn. The dining room was large and needed to accommodate the number of guests. The breakfast had a good selection and was cooked properly.

This was a very nice and reasonable hotel in a quaint small town that is located north of Carlsbad. We stayed here one night because we thought it was more reasonably priced than hotels nearer to Carlsbad Caverns. I had a well maintained pool area and some nice outside sitting areas. The complimentary breakfast was a full breakfast that was cooked fresh and you could choose from a menu of select items

Don't let the looks of this hotel deceive you. The outside looks like a renovated Travel lodge with the entrances to the room opening to the outside. The inside has been completely renovated! We stayed in a "suite" that had 1 bedroom with a King sized bed, and the living area had a Queen sized bed and a sofa bed. The bathroom was large and a sky light made it nice and bright. The staff was excellent and we enjoyed a very good breakfast buffet in the large dining area. Our room was on the 2nd floor right above the pool area, but even inside our room we barely heard any noise. The pool was average size for a small hotel, but well cared for. The covered patio area on the 2nd floor near our room could use some new carpeting, thus the 4 stars. I would highly recommend this hotel!

We only stayed one night but the room was very large for a motel room, clean, had a sofa bed and desk, very pleased. Got a great price. Would gladly stay there again!
