I am a Gold Level Hilton Honors Member for almost 20 years and have stayed in most of their family of hotels. We checked in after a long day of travel in hopes of any easy restful night's stay before setting off on our tour of Colorado. The staff was clearly confused about matters as evidenced by the fact that our first assigned room was occupied by someone. No big deal. After being told the were no other rooms available, we were finally offered a handicap accessible room, which upon entering, smelled so awful, my wife and I felt nauseous within a few minutes. There was an awful stench worsened by an almost equally terrible smell of cleaning chemicals. Finally, we were assigned to our third room, which was on the top floor and directly under the AC compressor on the roof, which sounded like a tractor idling over our heads all night long. I have never written a negative review in years of travel and am not one to exaggerate or embellish. But this was an absoloutely terrible experience and I doubt we will ever stay in a Hampton Inn again.

I remember when the Hampton Inn was one of only a few hotels servicing DIA! Now, it's one of the furthest locations away from the airport, but still worth strong consideration.
The hotel is well maintained, clean and has an excellent and very helpful staff. The night before I had a very early flight out of DIA, the Hampton staff sent it's courtesy van to the Alamo rental location where I dropped off the car, retrieved me and bring me back to the hotel! That was a big benefit and one I greatly appreciated. In the morning, I left the hotel before breakfast was open but was provided with a ""care package"" that included a muffin, breakfast bar and bottle of water. These are the sort of little but important services that bring me back the next time I am in the area.
