We stayed for one night. The lobby was updated, the pool area was good. The walls in the room were thin, and we could hear the people on the other side of the wall very easily. It was cheaper than many of the other hotels in the area, but I wished we paid the extra money to stay in a more modern hotel.

This is a sixties motel that is completely renovated and absolutely beautiful. The bathrooms have also been totally renovated and are lovely too. The whole facility and rooms are clean and absolutely spotless. The housekeeping staff are friendly and take pride in their jobs and it definitively shows. I got a very competitive rate and it was better than most of the motels in the Mystic area. I would rate is as a best buy for this area. I'm looking forward to a return visit in the fall.

Had a good stay. Room was clean if a bit on the old side. Only problem was we could hear the neighbors on one side, until I finally knocked on the wall at 2 am. So much to do in Mystic we never made it to even see the pool.

My wife and I have travelled extensively in Europe and in the US but have never had the experience of there being rodent feces in our room - both on the bed and on the floor. We have two young boys who were playing in the room. This was easily the most disturbing hotel experience we have ever had. The floors didn't look like they had been vacuumed. There was also a dead bug/cockroach inside one the cups in the room - actually inside the plastic wrapper. I mentioned to the staff about the rat/mouse droppings upon leaving and was told that the manager would contact us, but never heard back from anyone. We would never stay in this, or any other, Howard Johnson again.
