This was a good value if you are staying one or two nights
The hotel is in a nice neighborhood, relatively quiet with lots of trees and quiet sidewalks. it is close by to many restaurants and also to some good sightseeing areas.

The rooms are a bit old although they have been freshly painted and the furniture looks quaint. The heating/cooling was controlled by an ancient thermostat that still worked but it was impossible to see the setting on it. The windows looked like they were openable but I could not budge the pulls on the storm windows to open them. Not sure if they were just stuck or purposely disabled. Though I did not take part it looked like there was coffee and some pastries near the lobby for a free breakfast

Hotel is in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. It is within walking distance of the Adam's Morgan neighborhood and a short cab ride from Georgetown. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is old and does not come with many frills, but it is clean and quaint. if you are looking for a safe place to stay that is located near many attractions, this hotel should serve your needs. The bed was not the most comfortable, but I still recommend this hotel for its value.
My family loved the location and the staff were extra helpful.

Family from out of town decided to come for the Christmas Tree lighting and my grandfather asked me to book this hotel for them. He and my grandmother had stayed before and were happy with the accommodations. We used the Metro to get to the ceremony and then afterwards we came back to the hotel and ordered a pizza. Their room was very spacious and clean and there was a small refrigerator for the leftovers. The next day we visited them again and we went for a walk around the neighborhood. I have never seen such beautiful homes. I could tell that a lot of the buildings were embassies because of the different flags. I liked the hotel too and I would bring my family there anytime.
The hotel served my needs and we had a wonderful stay.

We came to DC so our kids could learn more about our government and see the historical sites. We asked the desk clerk where to park and we were able to find parking easily in a large garage located about two blocks from the hotel. We could see DuPont Circle as we parked. We left the car there and used public transportation for the next two days. Our room was large enough for my girls to chase around with no problem. We had a HD TV in a large armoire and the beds were comfortable. Even though the hotel is old, the room seemed clean and the bathroom looked new. We plan to come back for a few days in the spring for the Cherry Blossoms.
