We tried the Holiday Inn Lakewood Ranch after our "go-to" hotel was booked during Spring Training. The staff, service and room were more than satisfactory. We ate at the restaurant, which was also good. The only drawback...we would have loved to have hot water/coffee/tea available in the lobby 24-7. I also missed the free fruit and/or breakfast. I may possibly stay here next year on my trip...hopefully they will read the review and make a few changes that would make this hotel in competition with our go-to place :)

Holiday Inn would not have been my first choice but this area really has a shortage of hotels, especially during pre-season baseball. This Holiday Inn is pretty new, easy to get to -- right off 75 and major local road. Staff is thin, but pleasant -- as it is for all these new hotels. Room was not ready on time but overall much nicer than I would have thought. We would have stayed longer but fully booked. One slight thing is that 'Breakfast for Two' is really a max $10 voucher. Also, the nice shops for the community and such are across the road, which took us until leaving to discover. Highly recommended for the area.

Hotel provided a very good experience, staff was friendly and responsive, room was clean and beds were great. Also, the Alamo restaurant in the hotel was very good. All meals were well prepared with good portions. Would stay here again on my next trip.
