The accomodations were clean and pleasant. Draw back was that you had to pay extra to access the internet.

This hotel is my first experience with an extended-stay type facility. While I would stay here again, probably, it would not be first or even second on my list in the Des Moines area. Here is what forms that opinion: Pros: The staff was excellent. They were very accommodating with pleasant, professional personalities. They are a big part of the reason I would consider staying here again. The room was clean and spacious. I like the location, just off the highway but far enough to be fairly quiet. Cons: The rooms were not well maintained. There was a huge water stain, from a previous leak which had not been repaired. The counter top in the room had a big gash out of it and the other counter top had been repeatedly used as a cutting board causing it to look scarred and dirty. Finally, and this is my biggest issue, the beds were terrible. They made loud noises each time you sat on them or rolled from side to side and they were so hard we barely got any sleep at all. If I was going to stay for a long time, I could buy a mattress topper and live with the rest of the flaws. This is not practical for a two night stay. The staff here are great. You will not meet more friendly hotel clerks. The facility needs more maintenance. While I greatly appreciate the cleanliness, management needs to keep re-investing on the structure itself. While I would stay here again, it is currently number three on my list of Des Moines favorites.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Location easy to find, convenient to shopping and wonderful restaurants. Rooms clean, not particularly fancy but spacious enough and the price was extremely reasonable. Will stay there again.

What a wonderful experience! This was our first time staying in a studio motel and we were very pleasantly surprised to find the complete kitchen with full size fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, sink and counters, as well as a couch and recliner. This was the quietest motel we have ever stayed in and had lots of space that felt much homier than a normal motel. Our room on first floor was very clean, the laundry facilities were very handy (but busy!), and the fitness center far exceeded any fitness room in any motel we have ever stayed at. But what stood out even more was the professional and friendly staff. They went above the necessary expectations in making our stay an enjoyable one. We will be back! There is not a pool, but we certainly didn't miss it. It was a little difficult to find, thank goodness for our GPS. It's location next to Valley West Mall and a couple miles from Jordan Creek Shopping Center made it really convenient for shopping. And our son opted to stay in the room to watch the Hawkeyes beat Penn State rather than leave for a sports bar -- that speaks MOUNTAINS!
