I have stayed at this hotel multiple times now. If you are expecting the Ritz Carlton, look elsewhere, and get real, this is the HOLIDAY INN. I'll start by saying EVERYTHING in the Chicago-land area costs money, I lived there for 9 years. Contrary to a prior review, the parking problem has been fixed and they now have priority spots reserved for customers staying at the hotel (vs say a person attending an event in one of the conference rooms) and its FREE. The WiFi was a breeze to set up, plenty fast, and FREE. The continental breakfast is adequate, and FREE. On top of that, there is a decent Bar Louie right inside the hotel. If you are a traveler who likes to spend their time outside of their room enjoying the place you are visiting and just need a bed to crash on at night, this place is great. If you are looking to spend heavy amounts of time inside your room, I may look elsewhere... but over all I have been nothing but content with my experience at this hotel.

Staff made check in and check out very easy. Requested a handicap accessible room and there were none available. Girl at desk made it very easy for us by giving us a room very close to an outside door.
Bathrooms (shower) need an update.
After joining Holiday Inn Club, I was asked to "spin the wheel" to see what prize I could win. I won a complimentary breakfast and was told it would be brought to our room next morning...that never happened. Although staff was friendly the 'Staff and Service' rating would have been excellent if I had gotten what I was promised.
Staying on a weekend? You won't have a place to park.

Although everything was fine up until this point, we arrived back at our hotel this evening to find that there were absolutely no parking spots anywhere. The parking lot is enormous and yet there was not a single spot left, apparently there were multiple events happening at the hotel. When we went to the front desk to ask where to park, we were told, "well, there's a valet outside, I guess they might be able to help you." The valet was not helpful and said, "I guess you can park in the strip mall lot across the street." Although it is completely acceptable to have events that may take up all your parking, it's not acceptable to not alert your guests, have them drive around lost, and then fail to speedily and clearly solve the problem. Couldnât the staff have alerted us in advance and warned us that we may not be able to park this evening? We found this to be very inhospitable.
