Had 2 non-smoking rooms on Apr. 21, 2012. Both rooms smelt smoky. Bathroom vent cover clogged with dirt, hadn't been cleaned in very long time. Hotel put single ply toilet paper in bathrooms. Heat vents in second floor atrium were very dirty. Breakfast was very marginal! Considerable amount of paint chipped off doors and door frames.

We had a wedding to go to in Brown county and chose to spend the night and go hiking the next day. I've stayed at many comfort inns and have always been pleased. The comfort inn in Columbus was not a good experience. Our room was disgustingly dirty. Bedspread had a huge stain on it. Ice bucket had dirt in the bottom. There were ashes in the window sill. Carpets were dirty and stained. We complained and staff replaced our ice bucket and replaced our bedding immediately. All other hotels in the area were booked or we would have stayed somewhere else. We were told to talk to the manager who was not available and did not return calls for 2 days. She did eventually call back and gave us a 10 % discount on the room but was extremely rude on the phone. She said the room was clean and she saw the "dirty bedspread" and it was not dirty it was mearly a stain. Although she gave us a discount she acted as if we were being ridiculous. I definately would not stay here again!

Our room was great, But my sister had asked for a handicap room and they ploaced her on the 3rd floor. She uses a walker to get around so to get to breakfast buffet she had to take the elevator 5to the fiirs floor and walk behind the buffet to a ramp to get to the buffet. This was a pain but suppose there had been a fire? Whywould a handicap room be on the third floor?

The staff was very welcoming & hospitable. The hotel was busy with lots of families, but my room was very quiet.
